Maskr is designed from the ground up to protect your identity and sensitive information. We operate with an **absolute privacy-first** approach: all face detection, text redaction, photo editing, and image processing are performed entirely offline and locally on your device. We do not collect, upload, store, transmit, or share your photos, images, facial data, metadata, or personal information to any external servers.

Maskr does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identification. * **Photos and Images:** Your images are processed entirely on your device using local detection algorithms. Your photos never leave your device. * **Facial and Text Detection Data:** Smart face-detection and text-recognition occur locally on your device's processor. No facial recognition templates, biometric profiles, or extracted text data are collected, saved externally, or shared with third parties. * **Analytics and Telemetry:** Maskr operates without third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising SDKs.

To function as a privacy photo editor, Maskr may request the following device permissions: * **Photo Library / Media Storage Access:** Required so you can import photos from your device gallery for editing, blurring, and redacting, and save the edited images back to your storage. * **Camera Access (Optional):** Used if you choose to capture a new photo directly within the app for immediate redaction.

• **Local-Only Storage:** All edited photos and temporary editing states remain securely on your local device storage.
• **Complete Control:** You retain full ownership and control of your media at all times. You can delete any saved photos or clear app data through your device settings at any time.

Maskr is safe for users of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
